The aim is not to create a separate, new bibliography module as that would require a huge effort to identify and “re-attach” new bibliography records to nearly every other module in EMu.
We want to move from an overly-normalised structure to one which focuses on user data entry efficiency and which makes use of stable external tools and resources as much as possible.
In order to achieve this in a practical fashion that does not require excessive additional resources (time and money) we propose to retain functionality where useful and approproprate while creating a more streamlined user-interface/experience with better connections to external authorative sources.
